Morocco 2025 - Desert Rose
This was an amazing two week adventure! We started with one night of travel recuperation in Marrakech at an absolute jewel-box of a riad
Our next day included a spectacular lunch at an auberge, a tour of a Glaoui Palace, enjoying UNESCO World Heritage site Ait Ben Haddou, and spending the night in Dades Gorge. Then we took a beautiful walk through the valley and past Monkey Fingers (rock formation) in the morning before heading to lunch and a visit at the Amazigh Museum.
Our next two nights were magical! We enjoyed luxury tents in the Sahara Desert and more beautiful Amazigh hospitality. We started with a camel ride at sunset, and then after dinner enjoyed music and dancing around the fire. The next morning we ventured out into the desert again - climbed the highest dune! And in the afternoon we had a stretch class.
After the Sahara we spent a full week in Marrakech! Our boutique riad is a quiet sanctuary right in the Medina. This week included a day trip to Imlil in the Atlas Mountains, a cooking class at a school that trains women to be chefs, shopping, rooftop movement classes and meditations, hammam (spa) visits, a history tour and more.
