Where Wellness Meets Wonder

Fall in love with how your life expands

These retreats exist because I believe travel should do more than check boxes off a list. It should slow you down. Wake something up. Introduce you to people and places that change how you see the world—and yourself.

I've spent over a decade leading small groups to Morocco, East Africa, Honduras, and beyond. Every trip is built on real relationships I've cultivated for years; with master artisans, with local guides, with families who open their homes and their traditions to us. You won't find these experiences in a guidebook.

Daily movement and mindfulness are woven through every day, not as an obligation, but as a way to feel good in your body while you're out exploring. And when the unexpected happens (it always does), you're with someone who's been doing this long enough to make everything okay.

Small groups. Beautiful accommodations. Experiences that are both indulgent and meaningful.

You bring curiosity and an open heart. I handle everything else.

Cultural Bridge-Building, Not Surface Tourism

Twenty-five years as a professional cultural dance artist across the MENAHT region and East Africa means I don't just visit these places — I have deep, real relationships there. You'll learn traditional crafts from master artisans, share meals in family homes, and experience cultures with the kind of respect and access that only comes from decades of genuine connection.

Movement That Belongs to the Landscape

Daily practices range from gentle mobility work and core strengthening to meditation, nature hikes, and cultural dance — all adapted to every level, with an instructor with 40 years experience. This isn't a studio practice transplanted somewhere pretty. It's wellness that fits naturally into the day's adventures, whether you're exploring ancient medinas, trekking through rose valleys, or watching elephants cross the savanna.

Every Detail, Handled

Small groups of 8–16 people mean personalized attention and real connection. Hand-selected accommodations. Locally sourced meals. Thoughtful logistics. And every retreat is designed in collaboration with indigenous guides, artisans, and family-owned businesses—so your travel directly supports the communities that welcome us.

Past guests say it best: "I would travel with you anywhere." And many come back for their second, third, and fourth retreat.

Find Your Next Adventure

Three destinations. Three completely different ways to expand your world.

  • Hands of Marrakech - From Clay to Gold

    October 2 - 12, 2026

Eleven days of artisan immersion in one of the world's most extraordinary creative cities.

You'll learn from masters of traditional Moroccan craft — tile work, hand loom rugs, painting, carved plaster — and come home with pieces you made with your own hands. Between workshops, there are palace dinners, medina tours with guides who know every hidden corner, daily movement and meditation, and the kind of sensory richness that stays with you long after you unpack.

This is Samira's sixth Morocco retreat. They tend to sell out.

All-inclusive. From $4,595 per person, double occupancy. Early bird pricing through March 1.

  • Colorful sunset over water with small, colorful huts on stilts at the shoreline.

    Joyful Shift Retreat - Roatan - 2027

    February 20-26, 2027

A week designed around one powerful question: What would change if your good habits actually stuck?

On Roatan's secluded east end, you'll combine evidence-based habit formation with the kind of play you probably haven't allowed yourself in years. Morning movement sessions, afternoon workshops on building habits that last, snorkeling in crystalline water, evenings under a sky so full of stars it doesn't seem real. Everything is included — meals, drinks, kayaking, snorkeling lessons, and pre- and post-retreat support to help your changes take root.

Just 12 guests. Overwater bungalows. All-inclusive from $2,895.

  • Kenya safari wellness - yoga retreat 2027

Return to the Wild: Kenya Safari Wellness Retreat 2027

    June 21-30, 2027

Ten days in the landscape that reminds you what your nervous system was actually designed for.

This wellness safari weaves world-class wildlife encounters with daily movement and mindfulness practices — all from the comfort of private 4x4 vehicles and carefully selected lodges. Elephants at the Sheldrick Trust. Giraffes at arm's length. Lions drowsing in afternoon shade. A Maasai village visit. Walking safaris that bring you close to the land. And sundowners that turn the sky into a canvas of gold and crimson.

Early bird: $9,595 per person, double occupancy.

Questions?
Here Are the Ones Everyone Asks.

  • Not at all. Every movement practice is adapted to all levels; from complete beginners to experienced practitioners. These retreats are designed for real people with real bodies. If you can walk comfortably on uneven surfaces, you can do everything on the itinerary. And every activity is optional. If you'd rather lounge by the pool with a book, that's a perfectly valid choice.

  • You're in good hands.

Several past guests have been first-time international travelers, and every one of them felt supported from start to finish. Samira provides detailed pre-trip guides covering everything from packing to passports, plus a pre-retreat group meeting (in person or virtual) so you'll arrive feeling prepared and connected to the group.

One first-time traveler said, "I felt empowered, inspired, and connected in a way I never imagined possible."

  • Many guests come solo — and it's one of the best parts.

Small groups (8–16 people) mean you get to know everyone quickly, and past guests consistently say they leave with genuine new friendships. As Jan put it, "We've already made plans to get together when we get back home."

  • All my retreats are all-inclusive with some variations by destination.

Generally, your package covers accommodations, meals, all planned cultural activities and excursions, daily movement and meditation classes, in-country transportation, guides, and Samira's planning and leadership throughout. International flights and travel insurance are arranged separately.

Each retreat page has a detailed breakdown of what's included for that specific destination.

  • Every retreat accommodates dietary needs; just let Samira know when you register. Meals feature locally sourced cuisine prepared with care, and there's always variety. Past guests with vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and other dietary requirements have been well taken care of. Samira was vegetarian for 33 years and is a certified fitness nutrition coach, so she's especially attuned to dietary needs—this isn't an afterthought.

  • A reservation fee reserves your spot (amount varies by retreat), and the remaining balance is due before the trip, with payment plans available.

Early bird pricing is available for a limited time on each retreat.

Travel insurance is required for international retreats. Samira recommends adding on Cancel for Any Reason coverage and has a specific provider she trusts. You will receive information on travel insurance when you register so you can make your own informed decision. Full payment terms are on the Terms & Waiver page.

  • These are small group experiences: 8 to 16 guests, not a busload. You won't be herded through a checklist of sights with a flag-waving guide. The pace is intentional, with built-in free time and room to actually absorb where you are.

Second, Samira has spent decades building genuine relationships in every destination—with artisan families, local guides, and communities. You're not getting the tourist version. You're getting access that only comes from years of real connection and cultural fluency.

Third, wellness is woven through every day: morning movement, meditation, and intentional pacing, so you come home feeling better than when you left. Samira brings 40 years of teaching experience and certification in behavioral change, which means the practices aren't filler. They're designed to actually shift something in how you feel and move.

And fourth, Samira personally leads every trip. Once you land, she handles everything on the ground—airport-to-hotel transfers when your flight arrives late, itinerary pivots when an exciting opportunity opens up, or calling in a favor to secure last-minute reservations at a palace restaurant because she knows who to call. Navigating a Moroccan medina for the first time? She'll walk you through it, share her favorite spots, and even offer AirTags so she can keep a friendly eye on your location when you're exploring independently. After a decade of leading these trips, she has the local knowledge and relationships to turn the unexpected into a better story.

  • Absolutely. The cultural immersion, adventure, and food alone are worth the trip. All movement and meditation sessions are optional. Past guests have brought partners who weren't remotely interested in yoga or Pilates and had the time of their lives.

  • Yes! Returning guests, referrals from past guests, and email subscribers all have access to savings. Check with Samira directly or look for codes in her newsletter.
