Desert Rose Retreat -
Desert Rose Caravan and the Marrakech Medina
Every day includes movement class or meditation, and three meals starting upon arrival at the riad.
Day 1
Friday, April 25
Depart US
Night: Airplane
Day 2
Saturday, April 26
Arrive at Menara Marrakech Airport (RAK).
Transfer to Marrakech Medina, a 20 minute drive.
Settle in for the evening.

Sunday, April 27
Morning departure to Dades Valley
Stay in a charming and traditional hotel
Night: Dades Valley Home-style guest house
Day 4
Monday, April 28
Dades Valley to Merzouga Dunes including camel ride to luxury tent camp.
Night: Sahara Desert Luxury Tents
Day 5
Tuesday, April 29
A day in the desert
Small hike to highest dune for views
Stretch and meditation in the Sahara
Local music and fire at camp in the night

Day 6
Wednesday, April 30
Drive to Kalaat M’Goun where we will stay in a hand-made traditionally built casbah

Thursday, May 1
Walk in Valley of the Roses
Lunch in Kasbah el Hot
Night: Hand-made Kasbah in Kalaat M’Goun
Day 8

Drive to Kalaat M’Goun, Rose distillery Visit, Ait Ben Haddou Visit
Drive to Marrakech Medina
Settle in for the evening.

Historic tour of the Medina
Dinner in an early 20th-century palace

Day 10
Sunday, May 4
Time for hammam/spa appointments and pool
One movement class and one meditation today
Option to walk the Medina with its amazing museums, beautiful photo ops and adventurous shopping.

Day 11
Monday, May 5
Cooking class! About a half-hour drive outside the city.

Day 12
Tuesday, May 6
A visit to Imlil (1.5 hour drive) and lunch at the base of Mount Toubkal, North Africa’s highest mountain. After lunch, we’ll have the option to go on a guided hike or visit one of Samira’s favorite rug shops. Imlil is at 5,900 ft elevation.

Day 13
Wednesday May 7
Transfer to the modern part of the city (10 minutes) and time to enjoy Les Jardins Majorelle, The Berber Museum, and the Yves St. Laurent Museum.
Lunch** in the modern part of the city.
A visit to a very special store that has amazing antiques, swords, daggers, jewelry, and more. It features both vintage and new items for sale.
**This lunch is the only meal not included in Desert Rose Retreat Package Price.
Dinner in a stunning 17th-century riad.

Your time is yours! Want more spa time? You got it. Want to enjoy the pool? Enjoy! Want to venture out into the Medina for photographs, shopping, other amazing museums, and adventure? Have at it!

We’ll say our goodbyes and transfer to the Marrakech (RAK) airport for departures, about a 20 minute ride.
