Belly dance shows in the DC/Baltimore region start at
$200.  This does not include extra travel time or prime time
rates. Samira will ask questions to help you determine the
ideal performance for you and your guests.

For weddings, the performance fee starts at $230.

If you are interested in hiring multiple dancers for your
event, or if your event is outside of the DC metro or
Baltimore area, email or call Samira for more information.
Agents and venues outside the US contact Samira to
request a sample DVD.

Frequently, it is beneficial to both parties to have a
performance agreement and sometimes a deposit is
required.  For an example agreement,
A contract and deposit is always required for overseas
bookings and travel plans more than 3 hours outside the
DC Metro area.

Belly dance is family friendly entertainment.  If you're not
sure what that means, please read reviews of Samira's
performances
here.

Tipping is not required.  If you would like to tip however,
your generosity is culturally appropriate and greatly
appreciated.  In Arab countries, audiences often
participate in the entertainment by tossing money onto the
dance floor or over the dancer, to express their
appreciation of the dance.  This is called a money shower.
A host often provides singles for guests to get change
should they want to tip with a money shower.  Some hosts
prefer to tip in an envelope.  Please remember to keep the
family friendly atmosphere in mind when tipping.  Please
see the
Links  page if you would like more info.

Samira does not perform for bachelor parties or parties of
all males.

Samira is also happy to refer you to local restaurants and
event professionals such as musicians, bands, party
planners, photographers etc.  There are numerous links
listed under Party Resources.  She can also recommend
wonderful musicians in both New York City and Boston
who she works with.  Please don't hesitate to ask.

Venues that wish to regularly schedule belly dance
performances are entitled to a discounted rate.  Please
contact Samira for more information.
